The award-winning Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre chooses Spektrix to streamline the purchasing experience for more than 130,000 people each Summer.
Spektrix, the UK’s number one cloud-based ticketing and marketing software for arts venues, is now facilitating the ticketing for Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre. The acclaimed outdoor venue announced today that it has moved its ticketing system to Spektrix, updating the online purchasing process in line with consumer expectations, whilst gaining sophisticated analytics and improved marketing capabilities.
Established in 1932, Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre presents a mix of productions each year from May to September, including modern classics, musicals, Shakespeare and shows for younger audiences, as well as one-off music, comedy and film events. A registered charity, the theatre is entirely self-funded with ticket sales accounting for over 90% of income. In response to the financial achievements of 2013 – playing to more than 180,000 people – they were able to continue their commitment of reinvesting in the infrastructure of the theatre by upgrading its ticketing system.
There were two objectives: (1) respond to customer feedback regarding online ticket purchasing and (2) improve audience development intelligence based on a real-time understanding of audience preferences and attendance history.
