It’s our favourite time of year. The heady scent of digital engagement is in the air and we’re dreaming of biscuits and breakout sessions. Yep, the countdown to the AMA Conference has started.
If you’re new to the AMA Conference, you’ve got loads to look forward to. Make sure you read Emily’s 5 essential survival tips from last year beforehand and when you’re there, remember that keeping an open mind, asking lots of questions and meeting as many new people as is humanly possible are the 3 keys to having a happy AMA Conference.
This is our third time sponsoring the conference and this year we decided to do something a little bit different. We believe it should be much easier for arts marketers to make the most out of their audience data, so our mission at this year’s AMA Conference is to cut out the noise around data marketing and demystify how data can be used to engage audiences – and we’re getting started today.
With ten days to go, we asked our team of Support Consultants to give us ten of their best data marketing tips. We’re sharing one of these every day in the run up to the conference, on Twitter and on Facebook. Check out the first one here.

As part of the Spektrix Evening Takeaway Session taking place at the conference (Wednesday 23rd July, 5 - 6pm, The Lantern at Colston Hall) we want you to ask us your most confusing, nagging questions on data using the hashtag #AskSpektrix on Twitter. Don’t use Twitter? Talk to us at our exhibition stand to submit your question in person instead – we’ll be manning our stands in Colston Hall and the Watershed when we’re not in breakout sessions.
Spektrix’s own data geeks, along with the marketing teams from the Tricycle Theatre, Belgrade Theatre, Tobacco Factory Theatre, Mercury Theatre and Mac Birmingham, will answer as many as possible during the event. Answers will be 100% jargon-free (we’ve banned words like “SoLoMo”) and will come with ideas you can try yourself – no matter what ticketing system you use.
