We’ve taken on Manjinder, Dan and Alice to add to the skills and experience we need to build on the service we offer to you as our clients. We talk about it a lot, but our mission is a really important thing to us and informs everything we do at Spektrix - it’s not just something written on our office wall. With that in mind, we wanted to make sure that we’re equipped with the right experience and expertise to live up to that mission and keep delivering the right tools and support you need to grow your audiences and revenue.
When we began our search, we were looking for two things. First is alignment with our values, particularly when it comes to putting people first and looking for smart solutions. In practice that means doing what’s right for our team and our clients above everything else, and having the hunger to always do things better.
Secondly we wanted to find people who have been there and done that when it comes to growing things. We’re planning on being here for the long haul, bringing about real change for as many arts organizations as possible. But as we’ve talked about before, growth is a tricky beast. One of the lessons we’ve learned is that the basis for successful (or sustainable) growth is bringing the right people on board. So we found people who have experienced and influenced positive organizational growth and change.
Manjinder, Dan and Alice have these attributes in common, so we couldn’t be happier to have them join the Spektrix leadership team. Here’s a bit more about each of them.
Manjinder brings 20 years of finance experience to the table, having come to us via careers at PWC and Future Academies. As our new Finance Director overseeing everything across the UK and North America, Manjinder’s role is to help us work smarter by using data to inform decision-making across the business. She’ll also be focused on long term strategic planning to take us through growth. Manjinder is a big foodie and a fan of the London restaurant scene, so if you’re looking for any recommendations you know who to ask.
Dan’s background is in growing teams on large scale cloud-based systems, something he was responsible for as Head of Motor at comparethemarket.com. In his role as Director of Engineering at Spektrix, Dan’s task is to make sure our development and operations teams can keep delivering more exciting features more quickly for our entire client base, while maintaining a commitment to quality. In a previous life, Dan played guitar in local bands in his native South Africa but decided to leave performing to the professionals. In this life, he’s a comedy buff and Trevor Noah fan.
Alice has joined us from Trinity College London where she was most recently Head of Drama, leading a substantial change to the program and developing new propositions to support the organization's mission across the arts. Alice’s career to date has been ultimately committed to enabling access to the arts for young people - her move to Spektrix enables her to expand on that personal mission by further strengthening the arts industry across the UK for the benefit of all.
Her role will be advocating for our clients by making sure that we continue to give you the best experience of Spektrix possible. That goes for bringing new organizations on board, to implementation, to realizing your business objectives. Alice will oversee all of our client-facing teams in the UK including projects, support and sales. As part of this, she’ll focus on building those teams and cultivating their skills.
Alice is a Londoner born and bred, but whose London-centric perception of the arts was transformed over a decade ago by working with the many brilliant arts organizations across the UK in the development of the Arts Award. When not at work, Alice is usually hosting some sort of event, cooking up a storm, or chasing her 4-year old around an arts venue.
We’re excited to have the experience and passion of these three new additions on board with us, especially as we enter the next phase in our mission to deliver great service and grow as a company. Welcome to the team!
