Her experience began with outdoor Shakespeare performances in the grounds of the Bowes Museum, working with respected amateur performers The Castle Players as an actor, stage manager, and later trustee, with her most memorable role as one of ten women sharing the part of Ariel in The Tempest.

She gained a degree in Drama with English and an MA in Applied Theatre at the University of Manchester, before working in community arts and volunteer engagement at Steam Shed, Darlington – an offshoot of London's acclaimed Chickenshed – Killhope Lead Mining Museum in Durham, and then at Curious Minds, Liverpool and The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester. From there she moved into a marketing role at Chetham's School of Music in Manchester, where she formed part of a small team opening chamber music space, The Stoller Hall, and aligning audience data and ticketing across the school, concert hall, and historic library.

Bryony joined Spektrix in 2019 as UK Marketing Manager, and now leads content and campaigns across four regions. In 2026, she authored publications including Powered by Purpose, a study of arts workforce wellbeing; the Spektrix Email Benchmarks Report; and a global study of trends in audience engagement. She also volunteers as a board member and vice chair of the Arts Marketing Association, and is part of the creative team behind Pride Classical – a celebration of LGBTQ+ anthems, performed with live orchestra at venues and festivals across North West England.
