Spektrix Editorial Policy
At Spektrix, we publish stories, insights, and practical resources that help arts, culture, & in-person experience organizations build stronger relationships with their audiences and succeed for the long term. This editorial policy explains how we ensure our content is accurate, actionable, and evidence based.
Our principles:
Everything we publish is guided by our desire to provide accurate, clear, impartial content. We prioritize factual, accurate, and helpful content and aim to make all topics accessible. We present insights with fairness, avoiding bias or undue influence.
Content sources and review
We source information from credible experts, partners, Spektrix users, internal teams, and relevant third-party research. Every piece of content is reviewed for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with our values. We always update or correct published material if new information becomes available or if an error is identified.
Opinion and analysis
Some of our articles share perspectives, recommendations, or analysis based on our experience working with the sector, or the opinions of our users or partners. Where we express opinions, we aim to distinguish them clearly from factual reporting and support them with relevant evidence or experience where appropriate.
Inclusion and representation
We strive to reflect the diversity of the arts, culture, & in-person experience sector. We actively seek out voices and stories that highlight different geographies, identities, and perspectives, ensuring a balanced and inclusive range of viewpoints reflective of the regions and communities we serve.
Commercial independence
Our editorial decisions are guided by what we believe will be most valuable to the organizations we serve. While we may share insights from our users and partners, commercial relationships never determine what we publish or the opinions we express.
Authentic creative work
When we represent artists, venues, audiences, or in-person experiences, we use authentic photography and video rather than AI-generated imagery. We only use imagery provided by our users or captured directly by our team.
All of our written content has been created by members of our team or guest writers. We work in consultation with sector partners and internal experts, and draw on sector conversation and insights, to develop our content and opinions.
While we embrace AI as a valuable tool in many areas of our work and products, and may use AI tools to edit, proofread, or optimize visual or written content, we do not publish AI-generated content, images, or videos that portray artists, venues, audiences, or creative experiences. We believe that authentic artistic communities deserve authentic representation, and we are committed to supporting the photographers, videographers, designers, writers, and creators whose work brings those stories to life.
To maintain transparency and acknowledge the artists and creators involved, each image on this site includes attribution information identifying its source.
Feedback and corrections
If you spot an error or have feedback about any of our content, please let us know. If we discover a significant factual error, we’ll correct it as soon as reasonably possible. Where appropriate, we’ll note that a correction has been made.
