Spektrix Online Community Moderation Guide for Members
We want the Spektrix Community to be a safe, supportive, and inclusive space. Here's how we handle situations when the guidelines aren’t followed.
How moderation works
Our Spektrix Community Moderators are here to make sure the online community stays welcoming, constructive, and focused. We aim to be fair, transparent, and kind in every interaction.
If something goes against our Community Guidelines, we’ll address it based on the severity of the situation.
What happens if you infringe a guideline?
1. Minor Infringements
We all make mistakes. If something you post is a little off-topic or doesn’t align perfectly with the guidelines:
- You may receive a friendly reminder or private message
- Your post might be moved, merged, or edited for clarity
2. Moderate Infringements
If a pattern starts to emerge - like repeated posting in the wrong spaces (including promotion outside of designated areas), sharing sensitive information, or using exclusionary language:
- You may receive an informal check-in or official warning from a moderator
- Spektrix Community Moderators may edit or remove content if it doesn’t align with the community guidelines
3. Serious Violations
Some behaviors are not acceptable under any circumstance. These include harassment, hate speech, or sharing private data.
- These posts will be removed immediately
- Your account may be suspended
- In extreme cases, we may escalate to legal action
Want to Appeal a Decision?
We believe in fairness and dialogue. If you disagree with a moderation decision:
- Reach out to the Spektrix Community Moderators and we will review your concern as a team within 3 business days
A Quick Note
The goal of moderation isn’t punishment - it’s to keep this space kind, inclusive, and useful for everyone. If you ever feel unsure about a post or comment, reach out! We’re here to help.
Thanks for being part of this online community. Let’s make it something great - together!
