We've seen our "fastest ever onsale speed" quadruple
In 2020, Spektrix completed a transformative move to run using a platform as a service (PaaS) approach. This huge engineering undertaking meant that, rather than maintaining our own servers, we now run Spektrix from Microsoft’s serverless Azure database.

The hot ticket
‘My Neighbour Totoro’ at the Barbican, London, was a blockbuster hit show that attracted audiences from across the country.
Users sharing their excitement as they progressed through a fast-moving, stable queue and finished with tickets in their hands.
• 226 transactions confirmed in a single minute
• 3,600 transactions within half an hour
• 4,236 people in the queue, cleared within 25 minutes
The high profile launch
Saratoga Performing Arts Center had a big season launch - a full program of ballet, orchestra, and jazz, including John Legend with the Philadelphia Orchestra.
With a complex series of presales to manage, the team was nervous - but Spektrix monitored queues and transactions throughout the onsale period to keep them confident and on track.

The nationwide tour
Comedian Sarah Millican went on sale with a tour across the UK and Ireland, visiting 34 venues which used Spektrix for their ticketing. With another 200 new events going on sale at Spektrix client organizations at exactly the same time, it would have been a stretch for many systems.
