Faq

What happens to our pricing plan if our sales volume changes after we make the move to Spektrix?

If your sales fall below what you expected, we'll bill you for the minimum annual commitment. If your sales increase and you think that’s likely to continue, we’ll review your sales turnover with you every 12 months to check you're on the best value model.

What are your costs for payment processing?

We do not offer payment processing services. You will use Vantiv for your integrated payment gateway, and then can bid your payment processing services out to any vendor you would like. We generally recommend using Vantiv as your payment processor in addition to their payment gateway services. Using Vantiv for both of these services will allow you to access discounted payment gateway services and is generally the best deal, but you are free to choose your own processor as desired.

Why is your billing monthly?

Monthly billing is much better for your cash flow, because the cost is in proportion to how much revenue you put through the system every month and it spreads the annual commitment over the year. Monthly billing is also good for us, because it allows us to provide you with everything you need to run your business in return for a single ongoing fee. This keeps our costs super clear and upfront. Importantly, it also allows you to benefit from the latest innovations at no extra cost and get unlimited support to make the most of these innovations.

We really want to use Spektrix, but we only sell a small number of tickets a year. Are you right for us?

We might be. Our minimum annual costs start at $15,000. If that cost isn't in proportion to your turnover, or if your business is funded through revenue that isn’t just based on ticket sales, give us a call and we’ll work out if we're a good fit together.

Do I need a separate contract with the payment gateway provider?

You’ll need a payment processing agreement with Vantiv which we’ll help you coordinate.

What hardware do I need to buy?

All you need to access Spektrix is a computer with an internet connection. Usually, a PC that is less than 3 years old and can run the latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer 9+ will be fine. Some customers use Spektrix on iPads and Android tablets. Other hardware options you might need to buy include:

  • Ticket printers. Our clients usually continue to use the printers they have already, but some older models don’t work with Spektrix. We can happily check this for you and point you towards suppliers who are able to offer Spektrix-friendly options from $855 to $945.
  • Scanners. Our ticket scanning system uses Stimare SAVEO-SCAN-M22D-BH 2D scanners connected to any Android device that supports 'OTG USB'. The scanners cost between $605 and $635 and although we don't provide Android devices, these usually retail at around $100.
